I immediately wrote back with a project that had been fermenting in my brain for months, but had held off on putting together. I grabbed a date, and amazingly, everyone I had in mind was available. It's always a good omen when the scheduling gods smile down on you!

So, I'm hard at work writing for what will be a very cool new band. We hit April 3rd, details in the calendar. Catherine Sikora, soprano sax, Sam Bardfeld, violin, Sara Schoenbeck, bassoon, and yours truly on accordion and compositions. If I can pull it together, maybe I'll post some video teasers from rehearsals...check back soon!

See you at the APAP Conference

One of the perks of living in NYC is being close to the APAP Conference every year. APAP is an incredible opportunity to meet arts presenters, and to sharpen your game a little. I'll be there soaking it all in every day I can, and hope to see some of you there!
